Stanton Holly Trail

Most church members know about the Stanton Holly Trail; however, for our new members a little history may be helpful. This year marks the 54th anniversary of the Stanton Holly Trail, which is a beautiful holiday decorated house tour held on the first Saturday of December.    Thousands of patrons have enjoyed the tour for many years. For many, this begins the joy of

the Christmas season.  Long-time patrons now attend with their daughters and granddaughters.  Over the years thousands of volunteers have help to raise almost $1,000,000 to benefit the Hunterdon Medical Center and The Stanton Church.

Joining Stanton Holly Trail offers many benefits. Countless friendships and life -long memories have been created by the participation of so many over the years. This year we would like to ask for help from anyone who has a little bit of time or knows how they would be willing to share.

New members are always welcome and we encourage as much or as little participation as you would like and your schedule allows.

Wish list

*This year we are looking for a house to host the Silver Tea.  Cheryl Reed is the chair person who organizes and runs the tea.

*We are also looking for a house to host the Candy House and asking for someone to chair the candy house as well.

*There are several committees that have an open chairperson position.

*Christmas Tree Committee. This committee contacts growers and finds tree donations to curb the expensive of buying all of the trees used to decorate the houses.

*Plan “B” Tent Committee. After the rain in 2014 we would like to gather a list of church members and friends that own small lawn tents. In the case of rain, tents could be set up where needed to keep the patrons dry while waiting for buses or prior to entering the houses.

*Joining Holly Trail and supplying your phone number and email address allows a chairperson to reach out to you for simple things. You may be asked to help with a craft, pick up some needed items if you have a truck, wash dishes for an hour at the silver tea or help serve food at the luncheon.

*Holly Trail committee members are invited to attend the Friday Night Workers tour as a thank you for all your work and contributions and for joining Holly Trail.

Stanton Holly Trail members will be available during the coffee hour to answer questions and offer membership forms.

We look forward to meeting with you and welcoming you to Holly Trail.
