Children and the Lord’s Supper

For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.”  In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”  For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.                                                            I Corinthians 11

Next class will be held Sunday, November 26th from 11:30-12:30pm

The Consistory of Stanton Church welcomes baptized children to partake in communion. If you are interested in your child(ren) taking communion and have not already done so, please attend the communion discipleship class with your child offered on 11/26 from 11:30am-12:30pm. All ages are welcome. Together we will talk about the celebration of Communion, engage in the story of Jesus’ last Passover meal, and participate in hands on activities that prepare children and youth for taking communion. Please let the church know if you are planning to attend or have any questions emailing us
