Feed My Starving Children

FEED THE NEED 2016

It is finally time to begin registration for our Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) packing event on Friday April 1st and Saturday April 2nd!  For one week, Zion is opening registration to Stanton’s congregation, friends and family.  After that time, registration will be opened through the FMSC website to the general public.  Please be aware that there is a lot of interest in the local community and spots may fill quickly.  We would love for everyone in the Stanton community to be able to participate.

FMSC is a wonderful organization that brings together volunteers to pack meals for hungry children across the world.  In these two days we will pack 100,000 meals.  Volunteers will be asked to choose a two hour shift.  The Stanton Reformed Church Group is signed up for9:00am to 11:00am on Saturday morning April 2nd.  During that time, training will be provided and different jobs are available, including sitting options to help label the packaging material.  Children are welcome, but please be aware of the FMSC adult to child ratios (K-2nd grade = 1 student per adult, 2-6 grade = 3 students per adult, 7 -9 grade = 4 students per adult, 10-12 grade = 5 students per adult).  Please also leave your jewelry at home, as it is not permitted in the packing area.

Please click on the link below to sign-up during the Zion- Stanton-only (plus friends and family) preview registration period.  Again, this begins today, and lasts for one week.  Beginning next week, registration will be open to the general public, and slots are likely to fill very quickly.

More help will also be needed for volunteer registration, forklift operation, set up, clean up and hospitality.  A separate volunteer signup will be distributed shortly for those needs.
